If you shop for Korean skincare in Australia, you might automatically think of a K-Beauty store or an online retailer first. I usually do too. So while visiting Sephora in Sydney recently, I was curious to see just how easy it would be to find Korean skincare without specifically going to a K-Beauty store. The answer surprised me a little. I didn't have to search very hard. There was a clearly marked KOREAN SKINCARE section, with several familiar Korean brands together in one area. 며칠 전 시드니의 Sephora 매장을 둘러보다가 눈에 들어온 공간이 있었습니다. 바로 매장 한쪽에 크게 표시된  ‘KOREAN SKINCARE’  코너였습니다. 예전에는 호주에서 한국 화장품을 사려면 K-Beauty 전문 매장이나 온라인몰을 먼저 떠올리는 경우가 많았습니다. 그런데 이번에 Sephora를 직접 둘러보니 K-Beauty가 더 이상 작은 한 코너에 몇 개 제품만 놓여 있는 모습은 아니었습니다. Laneige부터 Anua, d’Alba, Innisfree, Biodance 등 익숙한 한국 브랜드들이 한 공간에 모여 있었고, 매장에서도 ‘Korean Skincare’라는 이름을 꽤 분명하게 보여주고 있었습니다. 직접 매장을 둘러보며 느낀 점을 정리해봤습니다. 목차 Sephora 안에 따로 생긴 Korean Skincare 코너 어떤 K-Beauty 브랜드가 보였을까? 가장 눈에 띈 브랜드는 Laneige K-Beauty와 글로벌 스킨케어가 나란히 직접 둘러보니 느껴진 변화 Sephora 안에 따로 생긴 Korean Skincare 코너 매장에 들어가 스킨케어 구역을 둘러보다 보면 꽤 눈에 띄는 크기로  ‘KOREAN SKINCARE’ 라는 표시를 볼 수 있었습니다. 단순히 특정 한국 브랜드 하나를 소개하는 공간이 아니라, 여러 한국 스킨케어 브랜드를 하나의 카테고리로 묶어 소개하고 있다는 점이 인상적이었습니다. 호주에서도 이제 K-Beauty가 하나의 독립적인 스킨케어 카테고리로 인식되고 있다는 느낌이 들었습니다. 어떤 K-Beauty 브랜드가 보였을까? 제가 매장에서 직접 확인한 브랜드 중에는  Laneige, Anua, d’Alba, Innisfree, Biodance  등이 있었습니다. 한국에서는 이미 익숙한 브랜드들이지만 호주 소비자 입장에서는 Sephora 같은 대형 뷰티 매장에서 직접 보고 테스트할 수 있다는 점이 꽤 큰 변화처럼 느껴집니다. 특히 Anua나 Biodance처럼 최근 ...
